Eighth-graders from Reynolds Middle School attend a Journalism I class as they listen to yearbook adviser and photojournalism instructor Lyndsey Hamlin speak about opportunities available to students next year. These students toured campus on Jan. 23. The Rogers students came on Jan. 24. They are given the opportunity to sit in on classes and learn about different electives offered at Prosper. “These classes are not for you if you prefer to stay seated,” Hamlin said.

Quarterback Keegan Shoemaker, a Lafayette College commit, will be receiving his jersey at 10 a.m. in the arena for the Blue-Grey All-Star game that he will be playing in next week.

Sydney Washburn grew up in McKinney until moving to Prosper the summer of 2018. Before joining the Eagle Nation Online staff, Sydney was on the newspaper staff at McKinney Boyd High School. Sydney said she is "passionate about photography, writing, history and art." She loves listening to music and hanging out with her friends and family as much as possible. Mission Work also claims her time. Sydney has been on five mission trips throughout high school and hopes to give her time to serving on an international one after her senior year.

Lexi Goodrum, Writer

Lexi Goodrum is a senior at Prosper High School. She has lived in Prosper for ten years. This is her first year to be a member of the online newspaper team. She enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with friends and family. She writes book reviews for Eagle Nation Online, and would like to pursue her passion for reading by majoring in English. She wants to be an editor for a book or magazine publishing company and be a writer on the side.
