The Prosper Eagles varsity volleyball team and McKinney Boyd will face off today at 6:30 p.m. at the Prosper High School Arena.
On Sept. 19, the Lady Eagle volleyball team went against Allen High. After a long game, they lost 1-3. After this loss, the Lady Eagles had a win-loss record of 13-14. Their current game count is 14-14.

“I think this season has gone really well,” Head Coach Toree Winchell said. Â “We’ve done a really good job of adjusting to any adversity we’ve found or anything that has popped up along the way. The girls have been really good at being adaptable and going with the flow for whatever we need for that game or for that week. We’ve showed some really great promise in those moments of what we can do at a really high level.”
Last week, the Lady Eagles won against Princeton High School 3-0. Prior to defeating McKinney and Plano the week before, both 3-2. The Lady Eagles lost their win streak to Allen, but won the match after against Princeton, 3-0.
“We’re trying to be smart about where we’re putting the ball when we’re on offense,” Winchell said. “Not just sending over the ball and hoping to score, but to score on purpose and placing it in specific spots.”

The Lady Eagles and McKinney Boyd are expected to bring exceptional offense and defense, but the team with better plays, smarts, and most importantly, teamwork, should come out on top.
“Allens a really great team,” Winchell said. “We did well in containing some of their major hitters, and working through finding our own points.” “They had some big plays, but we would answer with some big plays.”
The Lady Eagle volleyball season started on Aug. 12.
“I think our seasons been going really good,” junior Sofia Winter said. “I think with every single game we keep on getting better and better.”
