Swim & dive dominate competition

This past weekend, Prosper Swim and Dive competed at the Frisco Independent School District Invitational, finishing in first place overall, and beating 22 other teams. The team has dominated their first year competing in 6A, and the boys are undefeated so far this season.
“The boys scored 361.5, beating out Wakeland High School, and Girls scored 368, beating out Reedy High school,” assistant swim coach Sierra Marchand reported via email. “Our boys have been undefeated so far this season.”
In addition, Marchand said freshman Ethan Hogan broke the school record in the 100 backstroke. Hogan “went a 56, beating out the school record, previously set by Kyle Valdez, at a 56.54.”
The team will compete at Texas Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association meet, also known as TISCA, today.

Boys 1-meter diving – Parker Burton
Boys 200 individual medley – Mithuun Ramesh
Girls 100 freestyle – Jenna Kerkman
Girls 200 freestyle relay – Caroline Egger, Katie Kieffer, Ana Hernandez Flores, Victoria Evans
Boys 100 Backstroke – Ethan Hogan
2nd-place finishers included these competitors:
Boys Medley Relay – Ethan Hogan, Saxon Boring, Mithuun Ramesh, Justice Hunt
Girls 100 butterfly – Katie Kieffer
