As a new season emerges, people are flocking to local coffee shops to bring in the fall spirit. From lattes to Chai, coffee shops are introducing their fall flavors, and some of their most popular drinks are still requested throughout the season.
Starbucks
Starting right off with the most festive coffee shop, Starbucks is known for coming out with its pumpkin flavors. One of my personal favorites is the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai. I feel like it has the right amount of pumpkin, and Chai is always a great choice. I do like drinks that are a little more on the sweeter side, so this is a great option.
1418
The Pumpkin Spice Latte at 1418 is a fall favorite. It has a good balance of pumpkin and coffee, but I wish there was a more prominent pumpkin flavor throughout. 1418 also has a Pumpkin Chocolate Chip muffin that goes nicely with the PSL. Some other good coffee drinks are their Hazelnut Latte and Lavender Haze drinks if you’re not into the pumpkin flavor. The Hazelnut Latte has the right amount of sweetness and I love the tones of lavender in the ‘Lavender Haze.’
Summer Moon
One of my favorite fall drinks is the Autumn Moon Latte from Summer Moon. It has hints of pumpkin spice and includes a semi-sweet flavor. I think this is the perfect fall drink hot or warm. I like how Summer Moon creates unique names for their drinks like the ‘Autumn Moon Latte’ instead of just naming it a pumpkin spice latte. Another drink that stands out to me is their Blue Moon Latte. It’s one of their signatures, and I love it because it has hints of lavender and vanilla. It has the right balance of coffee and sweetness. It’s not too sweet and not too bitter, which was the perfect medium for me. This is my go-to order.
Heirloom Haul
Although I’ve only visited the new Heirloom Haul once in Prosper, I got to try the Golden Girl Latte. It is essentially a Hazelnut Latte with honey syrup and oat milk. It has the right amount of sweetness and a perfect coffee to get on the go or even to sit down and study with friends. The aesthetics of the Heirloom Haul shop make the atmosphere fun, warm and inviting.
Lemma
Lemma is a nice coffeeshop to go to to hang to catch up with friends. My favorite drink is the Bee’s Knees. Whenever I go to a new coffee place I usually go with a Vanilla Latte, but I thought this one would be good because it had lavender in it, which I love in coffee. This drink reminded me of the Lavender Haze drink from 1418.
Overall, I think these places are the best to find a fall drink or even to pick up a traditional iced coffee if you’re not into the Pumpkin Spice. While each one has some similarities, each shop has their own take on fall drinks with their creative names and specific ingredients.
