Football takes final loss of season, 35-7

3rd round of playoffs ends the Eagle’s 2023 season; North Crowley moves to next level

Kickoff was at 2 p.m. "In all honesty, we just got to keep in mind that we're doing this for a greater purpose outside of winning a football game," said offensive coordinator Malcolm Hill. "We're here to change lives, and so the emotion, the passion, and the intentional piece that we provide to these kids is basically given from one another - we keep each other going."

"My favorite thing about the Unified Track is the competition and how everyone gets hyped about it," York said. "We get to bond more with the kids, from just partners, you're kind of helping them, but this you get to participate too, and it's just a fun environment."

Spring sports go 'Meet the Eagles'
Hands clapping, senior Branson Reeves gets the crowd loud. Prosper is currently ranked 21st in the state. "My goal for the rest of the season is to get at least one more touchdown," Reeves said. "I also want us to get through the playoffs at least through the third round."

As she holds her medal, senior Regan Reed laughs with family and friends. Reed finished in 17th place on the varsity girl's team. The teams run the UIL 6A–District 6 meet tomorrow.
Cross-country teams prepare for UIL 6A–District 6 championships
Throwing the ball up, senior Catherine Biju prepares to serve. Biju played along side her teammate senior Gaby Nielsen. "When I step on the court, I feel excited and a bit nervous," Biju said. "You never know what is going to happen in the match, so it can be nerve wracking to compete. Yet the challenge and working toward a goal makes it really fun."

Sitting at her desk, Rachel Cummings, the social studies coach, goes through previous questions in preparation for competition. She believes that this team has truly what it takes to make it to state. “My students study so much, they become experts beyond what even I know,” Cummings said. “They take the information and resources and run with it. This is a superb team, one of the hardest-working groups I’ve coached.”
Coach closes PHS chapter with district title
As the opening of Richland High School is just around the corner, Dr. Lute Croy has already made plans for pep rallies and student events. "We do some great things here at Prosper High School, but we get a chance to start our traditions." Croy said. A preview of Richland High School
The Unified Track and Field Team gathers together after winning Area Championship. This group will advance to the regional meeting Tuesday, April 15, at Waco Midway High School. "This is such an amazing group of students," coach Leslie Wright said in an email about the event. "And, this is allowing for more opportunities for students to be involved in UIL sports." Eagle Brief: 14 – 18
After three impactful years leading Prosper High School, Principal Nicholas Jones is stepping down to accept a new role as the district’s director of leadership, a move he described as exciting but bittersweet. “I’ve been a campus administrator for 10 years and a principal for six, but Prosper High is special,” Jones said. “This is the best school I’ve ever worked at.” Graphic made by Ethan Chatelain in Canva.

At the face paint station, senior Fiona Adams painted a smiley face. Multiple tables were set up with different schools and their Hope Squad programs, as well as other organizations. "I enjoy seeing all the little kids," Adams said. "I'm doing the face paints and it's really fun to make the designs and like customize it for what they want."
One step of hope
As the fire crackles, senior Anisha Mandem sits with friends and family, making s'mores during the weekend at Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Mandem enjoys spring break before she walks the stage at graduation on May 22. "It was nice to spend some time in nature and take some time away from school," Mandem said. "It was bittersweet remembering that it was my last high school spring break."

Varsity boys soccer takes home win 3–1 against Princeton
At the bat, senior Kaden Robardey prepares to hit the baseball. Robardey plays outfield and is No. 4 on the team. His pre-game ritual is chewing green or white gum, and his favorite athlete is Bryce Harper. The varsity team will play against Quinton Creek this Thursday, Feb. 27, at the Prosper High School Baseball field. The game will start at 3:30 p.m.

Riley McConnell, Chief Operating Officer
Riley McConnell is a senior at Prosper High School and is the Chief Operating Officer for Eagle Nation Online. This is her third year on staff and is involved in the Football Operations Department, an organization she is a founding member of. She is also the head photographer for the school’s baseball team, alongside pursuing her personal photography career.
Juliana Cruz
Juliana Cruz, Co-Editor-in-Chief
Juliana Cruz, a former native New Yorker, is a senior at Prosper High School. This is her second year working for Eagle Nation Online and she serves as social media manager, news editor and Editor in Chief. She enjoys writing and wants to continue to expand her coverage. Outside of school and work, she is on the powerlifting team and spends her time with family.
