Holding up the number 11, the ENN season 11 crew finish off a day of summer bootcamp. ENN is the sister broadcast journalism program to ENO. After school, freshman Michelle Ayala interviews junior Elizabeth "Betty" Gacek. At just 17 years old, Gacek has already accomplished balancing her academics with having fluency in eight languages as well as overcoming a series of challenges with her dyslexia. Her life is split between two distinct countries and cultures. She spends her summers in Poland for schooling and the rest of her time in Texas. “In Poland, the culture is more serious," Gacek said. "If you smile, it can be perceived as being dumb or creepy. In Texas, it’s a more casual and friendly atmosphere where smiling and casual interactions are common.”

As Jennifer Delano strikes up a conversation with Tiffany Ballard, they discuss the upcoming details for the Toyota Symposium. A PCIS event where students get the opportunity to make connections, and speak with professionals. “During my first year at Prosper, I taught all the marketing classes,” Ballard said. "Later, I was asked to lead the PCIS program to increase its enrollment. When I first took over, we had only 11 students. Now, we have 400 across Prosper ISD."
From marketing at Sega to adviser
As they finish up their monthly meeting, sophomore Christine Kim guides students when creating cards. Kim faced some challenges when Cardz for Kidz started. "Figuring out the materials we needed when making cards and who's doing what to help with the club (created part of the challenge)." Kim said. "We collectively agreed on things in the end when we needed to make decisions."
Students create cards for kids in hospitals
While the audience watches, junior Boyd Mueller sings into a microphone. Mueller plays Hades. Prosper Theatre's "Hadestown: Teen Edition" was chosen to be performed at the Main Stage at the Texas Thespian State Festival in Grapevine. "Generally, Main Stage is a privilege almost exclusively given to private fine art schools," stage manager senior Annabelle Nugent said. "The fact that a public school like Prosper is getting Main Stage is fantastic. Simply, it means that we are at the level of schools who specifically draft for stuff like fine arts and singing and dancing ability, and it's really a compliment to our actors and our technicians."
Prosper Theatre shows varsity musical
Brush in hand, senior Emma Esposito paints her pumpkin at the October FFA meeting held on Oct. 21. Emma competes in horse evaluation – a CDE competition. "You see horses going around and people riding them, and you have to judge them, and they have a mock competition," Richmond said. "And basically your goal is to get as close to the real judge as you can."
Cultivating success: FFA members gain community in organization
Students start to see changes with their social media accounts. Instagram announced Sept. 17 it will add new restrictions for teenagers going into 2025. These restrictions include a new age verification policy, changes in privacy, protection from suspicious adults, new restrictions on content, parent supervision and notifications. Hands clapping, senior Branson Reeves gets the crowd loud. Prosper is currently ranked 21st in the state. "My goal for the rest of the season is to get at least one more touchdown," Reeves said. "I also want us to get through the playoffs at least through the third round."
Football defeats Princeton, looks forward to playing Plano West
Side by side holding their sousaphones, senior Nathaniel Ray and sophomore Cameron Lovejoy endorse the time they have with each other. Ray wears his sash showing his desire for band throughout his high school years. The senior band members were recognized at the beginning of the game.
The Mighty Eagle's band takes off
As she holds her medal, senior Regan Reed laughs with family and friends. Reed finished in 17th place on the varsity girl's team. The teams run the UIL 6A–District 6 meet tomorrow.
Cross-country teams prepare for UIL 6A–District 6 championships
Throwing the ball up, senior Catherine Biju prepares to serve. Biju played along side her teammate senior Gaby Nielsen. "When I step on the court, I feel excited and a bit nervous," Biju said. "You never know what is going to happen in the match, so it can be nerve wracking to compete. Yet the challenge and working toward a goal makes it really fun."
Eagles celebrate senior night with clean sweep
Head bowed, junior Justin Alfano leads the team in prayer after the game. Alfano plays as the second string quarterback. "I thought it was great I was able to be a part of my team and lead the team in prayer because I like to share my faith in every way I can and spread His name, word, and gospel," Alfano said. "Being able to do that with my team made me really happy."
Football takes homecoming game win
Reaching with one hand above her head, senior Hannah Lee successfully blocks another shot. Lee is the only senior girl on the varsity team, and has been playing water polo for four years. “I am eternally grateful for the experiences and memories Prosper Water Polo has given me,” Lee said, “And I will carry them with me throughout my life.”

Ready for questions, HOSA's information table about the blood drive stands organized outside of the cafeteria during lunch. The table will be out two weeks prior to the event. "During lunches, like any lunch you have, you just go up to that table and then they'll give you more information," said sophomore Maryam Alshawi, HOSA member. "And you can make an appointment."

Standing in green Malcom Hill continues his passion for football as a coach. This marks his second year working for Prosper High School. "I kind of fell in love with the sport in middle school," Hill said. "Played it throughout high school and up until college.”

As they discuss a dive, junior Kiera Williams listens to dive coach Eric Ognibene. Williams competes in varsity water polo, varsity swim and varsity dive. "You can't be scared and be a diver," Williams said. "You have to just do it."
Eagle Brief: Nov. 18 - 22
Performing as one, the Rock Hill Band plays in place of the Mighty Eagle Band on October 4th at Children's Health Stadium. The Rock Hill Pep Band will play stand tunes for the Prosper playoff game tonight. “Even with our friendly competition that all three schools have, we still want to make a clear message that all of Prosper ISD is still one,” Rock Hill drum major senior Maxwell Lee said. “Also, we understand the importance of Grand Nationals as a competition for the PHS band, so we want to support their trip and we wish them the best of luck.”

The Eagle Nation News team which usually gives viewers a 15-minute program with each episode of Season 11, instead this week covered the homecoming parade. Kaya Miller, originally from Los Angeles, California, moved to Prosper, Texas in 2017. She attends Prosper High School as a senior. This is her third year on staff, and she is co-editor-in-chief of Eagle Nation Online and editor-in-chief of the print newspaper Eagle Nation Times. Miller is on the Prosper debate team as historian. She is also president of the Spanish Honor Society. Miller is also on the Dallas Rowing Club Juniors team. In her free time, she enjoys baking and playing guitar.
Erica Deutsch
Erica Deutsch, Multimedia Editor-in-Chief
Senior Erica Deutsch leads the Multi-Media section of the newspaper. This is her third year working for Eagle Nation Online. She adores photography and hopes to create a positive impact with her writing and podcasts. She is excited to publish video packages and continue sharing the powerful stories of others. Outside of school, she enjoys playing guitar, watching movies, trying new baking recipes, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
Jake Radcliffe
Jake Radcliffe, Chief Executive Officer
Chief Executive Officer senior Jake Radcliffe leads the newspaper to success through writing and teamwork. This marks his third year as a staff member of Eagle Nation Online. Radcliffe is also a member of the Chamber and A Cappella choirs and the vice president of the Asian Student Association. Outside of school, he enjoys singing, reading, hanging out with friends, playing video games and being outdoors. This year, Radcliffe aims to expand ENO and ENT's marketing, grow his journalistic skills and prepare the staff for next year when he won't be here.
Isabel Multer
Isabel Multer, Sports Editor
Coming from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Isabel Multer is a senior at Prosper High School entering her third year on Eagle Nation Online. Isabel is also the Producer for Prosper High School's broadcast program, Eagle Nation News and outside of school she loves spending time with friends and family. Riley McConnell
Riley McConnell, Chief Operating Officer
Riley McConnell is a senior at Prosper High School and is the Chief Operating Officer for Eagle Nation Online. This is her third year on staff and is involved in the Football Operations Department, an organization she is a founding member of. She is also the head photographer for the school's baseball team, alongside pursuing her personal photography career.
Sofia Ayala
Sofia Ayala, Eagle Nation Online Editor-in-Chief
Senior Sofia Ayala leads Eagle Nation Online as editor-in-chief. This is her fourth year working for Eagle Nation Online. She served as Assistant Editor for Eagle Nation Times, and served as the Feature editor in the past. Sofia is part of the varsity PHS Talonettes drill team where she enjoys dancing with her team. Outside of school, she loves going out on runs, reading, and listening to music.  
Anisha Mandem
Anisha Mandem, Eagle Nation Times Editor-in-Chief
Anisha is a senior, and this is her fourth year on ENO. She is the Editor-in-Chief for Eagle Nation Times.  Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, she moved to Texas at the end of 2021 and leads the newspaper as a writer, editor, videographer, photographer, and podcaster. She is also the founder and president of the non-profit NeuroNext Foundation and the PHS Model UN team and is a part of SNHS. Outside of school, she enjoys playing the piano, running, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Will Ligon
Will Ligon, Podcast Director
Will Ligon brings creativity to Eagle Nation Online through his podcasts. He is a senior at Prosper high school, and this is his second year on staff. He is in marching band and plays the trumpet. Will works as a freelance voiceover/voice actor. He made his first podcast, "The Memory Space," his sophomore year. After high school he wants to go to DBU and major in Communications, or Cybersecurity.
