Varsity football takes down Naaman Forest 48-14

In the attached article, sports editor and columnist Zach Markey gives a wrap-up of the Eagles defeat of Keller’s Timber Creek Falcons 56-14, and he looks ahead to this week’s match-up against Flower Mound. “Look for the Eagles to come out with a lot of intensity to put on a show for the home crowd,” Markey said. “If they come out of Friday with a win, there should be lots to look forward to for the rest of the year.”

Neha Madhira is a senior and Editor-in-Chief of Prosper High School's newspaper, Eagle Nation Online. She was accidentally moved into Journalism I as a sophomore but her teacher's passion for writing made her fall in love with it. Madhira has won over 24 journalism awards over the last three years, including the first Women's Media Center Young Journalists award and a National Quill and Scroll Gold Key. She also recently gave a TED talk along with Assistant Editor Haley Stack over the effects of prior review and censorship. Madhira now works with First Amendment advocates like Mary Beth Tinker and Mike Hiestand in hopes to have the New Voices legislation pass in Texas as well as the other 35 states that don't have the law.
Ana Arredondo, Editor-in-Chief
Senior Ana Arredondo is the Editor-in-Chief of Eagle Nation Online, the student publication of Prosper High School. She is a part of the yearbook and newspaper staff on campus, competes on the UIL Journalism team, and is also a member of the student council. She has received several recognitions and awards for her writing, including an "Excellence" in sports writing at the JEA National Convention. She promises to strive to do her best with coverage of all Prosper events and students. Ana plans to double major in journalism and business. You can usually find her on the sidelines with a camera.
