Varsity football

  • The team will play their final district game against McKinney, home at Children’s Health Stadium, Friday, Nov. 3, at 7:00 p.m.
  • The team will participate in the 6A Division 1 Playoffs – dates are currently undecided.

Varsity volleyball

  • The team will play in the Area meet, Thursday, Nov. 3, at 6:30 p.m.
  • The team will play in the Regional Quarterfinals, Monday, Nov. 7, at 6:30 p.m.
  • The team will play in the Regional Finals, Saturday, Nov. 12, at 6:30 p.m.
  • The team will play in the State Semifinals, Friday, Nov. 18, at 6:30 p.m.
  • The team will play in the State Finals, Saturday, Nov. 19, at 6:30 p.m.

Resting after the race, the varsity elite boys team focuses their attention to Coach Gegogeine as she gives advice. The team placed 3rd overall for mens varsity elite with a score of 150. “Having our teammates always with us helps us in the long run,” junior Remington Martin said. “When you have teammates there to push you it helps you achieve your best.” (Riley McConnell)

Highlights

  • The volleyball team ended their district season undefeated champions for both the varsity and junior varsity teams.
  • Junior football player Ellis Davis received his first D1 offer from Texas Tech University.
  • The varsity boys cross country team and senior Shewaye Johnson will advance to state.
  • Senior cross country and track athletes Shewaye Johnson and Jack Johnston committed to Texas A&M where they will continue their academic and athletic careers.
  • All cross country teams were named 5-6A District Champions.
  • Senior volleyball player Callie Kieffer earned her 1000th this season.
