  • Students wishing to level down from an Honors or AP class may pick up a level change form from the Upper or Lower House. These forms are due Sep. 16. This will be the only opportunity to change course levels until the end of the semester.
  • Sep. 1, PHS and other Collin County schools went into lockdown from 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. due to threats from an individual in Celina being made on social media. No specific schools were mentioned, and the individual is now in custody.

  • The first HOSA meeting is in room 3101 in the Learning Cottage Sep. 6. at 4:30 p.m.

Uplifting

Varsity cross country teams ran at the Southlake Carroll Cross Country meet Aug. 27, 2022. They competed against 93 other teams. Elite Varsity girls placed fourth out of 26 teams, and Elite Varsity boys placed third out of 40 teams. Open Varsity boys finished eighth out of 42 teams and Open Varsity girls finished eighth out of 29 teams. JV Boys got 13th place out of 40 & JV Girls placed 14th out of 36.

 

PHS is spreading awareness of suicide through dress up days this week. The themes are as follows: “PJ”, “Construction”, “Frat vs. Sorority”, and “Red White and Blue”. National Suicide Prevention Week is an annual week-long campaign in the United States to inform and engage health professionals and the general public about suicide prevention and warning signs of suicide.
