Summer Reading for 2018-2019

Summer reading is mandatory for rising 6th through 12th graders for the 2018-2019 school year if they are in:
- Middle School On-level (6th, 7th, and 8th Grades)
- Middle School Pre-AP (6th, 7th, and 8th Grades)
- Middle School GT (6th Grade | 7th Grade | 8th Grade)
- High School On-level (9th-12th On-level)
- High School Pre-AP (9th and 10th Pre-AP)
Discussions, writing assignments and further reading assignments will be based on summer reading next year. Teachers will be prepared with alternate assignments for new students. The district is also participating in the “One District, One Read” with award-winning author Kwame Alexander, which will provide optional ways to read throughout the summer. To order a book through the school and have it delivered by May 25, submit this form by Monday, May 14 to the PHS Library.
