‘Spring Ball’ showcases next year’s team, unites community

Before the game starts, junior Aeden Combest runs out of the tunnel holding the Texas flag. The inaugural "Prosper Gridiron Showcase," or "Spring Ball" game, was held on Saturday, May 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The junior varsity game was first. Then the varsity played at noon.

Pulling his mask down, senior Ryan Medeiros thanks all of the people who helped him to achieve his goals academically and athletically. Medeiros played as a safety for Prosper and will continue his football career at Pittsburgh State University in the fall. I didnt think Id play football in college, Medeiros said. My first year playing high school football was junior year. So just the opportunity to play at the next level in the sport I love its awesome.
Academic all-state football players commit to college, look to future
Helmets in hand, the Eagles football team stands in Globe Life Park for Round 3 of the playoffs. The team won against V. R Eaton 27-17. The game was on Dec. 26, 2020. In the attached analysis, reporter Neena Sidhu reviews the 2020-21 season.
