Eagle Brief: Nov. 9-13

Beaming through the morning mist, the sun rises over Erwin park in McKinney, Texas. Sometimes found practicing at Erwin park, the cross country team competed at district Oct. 30, and sophomore Dawson Svoboda placed as the district champion. The team will race against the 6A Division I in the region championship Nov. 10.

  • Volleyball will play at home against Rockwall Nov. 9.
  • Cross country will race in the region championship Nov. 10.
  • Veterans Day will begin Nov. 11.
  • 21 student athletes will commit to schools on early signing day in the arena at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 11.
  • Boys basketball will start off the season against Sachse at home Nov. 11.
  • Swim and dive will compete against Reedy at the PISD natatorium Nov. 11.
  • The Science National Honor Society will collect cardboard for science and holiday decorating. Cardboard should be labelled “not trash,” and set outside of classrooms after school Nov. 12.
  • Seniors will have senior lunch from E lunch through F lunch Nov. 13. They must return on time for their last period unless they have early release.
  • Girls basketball will play Flower Mound away Nov. 14.
