Freshman Polly Greaves renovated this graphic for their new episode on Canva. The book they read this episode is "Five Survive" by Holly Jackson. "Me and Heather Davis have advisory together, therefore, while I was reading this book, I got to look over at her now and then, and ask, 'why do you like this book so much?'" said Greaves. "And she just looked back at me like I was a complete weirdo and, you know, that just made my day."

With an influx of mass deportations and Australian wildfires, juniors Trisha Panicker and Aarushi Rana analyze how the toll of these events. "Controversy has been sparked by this issue (mass deportations) with as many as 18 states, including California, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, filing lawsuits claiming the order violates the U.S. Constitution," Panicker said. "The wait is until Feb. 6 to decide if this is permanent or not."

On his second episode of 'Drive' senior Will Ligon interviews seniors Regan Roberts and Ellie Christiansen. Both of them are on the Varsity Girls Soccer team. Christiansen serves as a team captain for the 24-25 season.

"I feel like [Orson Scott Card] did a really good job incorporating feelings into his words and the plot," Greaves said, "which really made it a work of art because I believe that good books are books that can make you feel something."

As he pins a dress, senior Garret Gray prepares an entry for a design competition. Tiffany Sanchez leads the Fashion Design classes at PHS. "This is our first time FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) has competed in quite some time, if ever," Sanchez said. "Next, state competition is April 11-13." In this program, four students ended up advancing to state.

To learn more about Richland High School, Eli Deutsch, Elizabeth Cohorn, and Srihitha Madepalli interviewed Dr. Lute Croy about the whole process of getting teachers for Richland High School. Dr. Croy gives insight to new things coming as well as keeping traditions. "We had a good interview," Deutsch said. "We asked a lot of questions, and he gave us good answers about the new high school."

After moving to Prosper from Orlando, Florida, sophomore Claire Moore asks a few questions about Prosper High School. Seniors Emily Reish and Emma Hutchinson have gone to Prosper High for all four years and look to pass on their advice before they begin their next chapter. This first episode covers basic topics such as bell schedule and campus layout.

In this podcast series “On The Mic,” your host Emily Reish calls in virtual-learning junior Morgan Reese and talks “The Bachelorette,” love and drama. This podcast covers the first episode of Season 16 of “The Bachelorette.” Episode 5 of Season 16 airs on ABC this upcoming Thursday.

Emily Reish, Photographer, Advertisement Sales Manager and Podcast Director

Emily Reish resides in Prosper with her parents and her eigth-grade brother. As a senior, this is her second year as a staff member for the online newspaper. Emily discovered her love for photography while taking pictures of her younger brother's baseball team. She is passionate about archery, being with the people she loves, and going to any baseball game she can go to. She has received third-place in district and been recognized as a region qualifier in wrestling her freshman year. She also went to state twice for archery, in addition to going to Grand Nationals with the Prosper Mighty Eagle Band her freshman and sophmore year. This year she hopes to win during photography and podcast contests. Emily's goal is to get as many guests on her podcast as possible during her final year as an eagle. She enjoys going to work and spending most of her time with her friends on the weekends, as well as being a supporter at her friends sporting events. We are Prosper. We are One.

Morgan Reese, Senior Reporter

Morgan Reese was born in Dallas, Texas and moved to Prosper in 2018. She is a senior and this is her third year as a staff member for Eagle Nation Online. She hopes to become a better journalist and express her passions through her work on Eagle Nation Online. In her free time, she enjoys photography, reading, writing and playing guitar. After high school, she plans to become an English teacher.
