With ribbons lining the hallway, the school honors Red Ribbon Week Oct. 26 through Oct. 29. Red Ribbon week was created to spread drug abuse awareness, and provide tools for prevention. Student council has created dress up days for this week to promote awareness.

Starting off the foggy morning invitational, senior Abishai Aryee catches up to her competition. Placing No. 12 in the varsity womens 5-kilometer run, Aryee ran a final time of 20 minutes and 44 seconds. Junior Aubrey OConnell won the 5,000-meter race with a time of 17:53.62. I’m really excited for track season in the spring because we didn’t get much of a season last year, and I think I have a lot more potential, OConnell commented when asked about her upcoming track season, aswell.
