Julia John is a sophomore at Prosper High School and is a photographer for ENO. Her first publication was “Traveling for Snapchat.” She also participates on the archery team.

Sophomore Jessica Hampton and Freshman Sean Rich, set up their shots and aim for their targets. Both archery teams practice two nights a week in preparation for upcoming tournaments. "I like how it is a sport anyone can do," Hampton said.

During the beginning of the third round at 10 meters, junior Ethan Doucet aims and draws his arrow in an effort to score a bullseye. Archery team member and photojournalist Julia John captured this moment Tuesday, Feb. 25. "Archery is mostly a mental thing," junior Emily Reish said. "We have to think of many things before releasing the arrow."

Junior Josh Smith presents Google's Applied Digital Skills on Feb. 5. Smith's presentation teaches teachers how to use Google Documents to make resumes for projects. “Resumes can help shape learning," Smith said. "So if you are in a social studies class if your teacher has you build a resume of a historical figure, not only does it give you a different aspect on history but also build those skills subconsciously.”

Joshua Watkins explains in greater detail, Applied Digital Skills with Google. Watkins is the advisor of Talon Tech who provides presentations for teachers over the usage of the site. "It's about getting everyone the digital skills they need," Watkins said, "to be successful in today's world."

The Talon Tech class offered at Prosper High aims to help guide teachers and students through lessons aimed to build the skill sets of classes. The class is losing members and recognition, however, is going strong is re-forming Prosper's teaching strategies. "Talon Tech shows teachers how to use technology tools in innovative and efficient ways," teacher Erin Miller said. "They give teachers ideas on how we can use technology to help our students in the best way possible."

Rock Hill High School put on the Sign the Beam event on Friday, Oct. 4 from 6-8 p.m. Students had the opportunity to sign a beam that would go up in the school. "I was excited to sign the beam because I will be part of the first class to go to the school," said photographer Julia John.
