Theater ventures ‘Into the Woods’

Student performers premiere annual show

Theater Director Ms. Likam gives students a chance to step outside their comfort zones while bringing the school community together through live theater with this year’s production of “Into the Woods.” The show was staged in the PHS auditorium, where months of rehearsals, set design, and music have come together for the annual performance. “My favorite memory would be enjoying the pizza we got after long rehearsals,” Boyd Mueller, senior, theater student said. “It felt rewarding after working hard.”

Caps in the air, the class of 2026 celebrates their final moments as Prosper High School students. 755 students graduated this year. "It's kind of bittersweet," senior Jerrick Jeyasee Kamaraj Christopher said. "Yes, I'm excited to graduate, but I'm going to miss the community here at Prosper. But, there's so many new opportunities that are opening up, so I'm very excited to explore all of that."

The photos display aspects of senior Trisha Panicker's life, from journalism to debate to spending time with her friends. Panicker will be double majoring in politics and journalism in college. "I want to continue the work I was doing in Prosper, from covering locals to reporting on community events and traditions," Panicker said. "The joy and purpose that this gives me will hopefully motivate my future endeavors during my time in university."
Senior Column: How journalism changed my life
Sketching at a desk, Sapphire Vasquez works on a portrait. Sapphire Vasquez is a substitute teacher for art. "I've enjoyed (the different art) a lot because everybody has a different style, everybody wants different materials," Vasquez said. "They are creating things that they love on top of the things that they probably don't enjoy as much."

Beaming ahead, assistant Jimmy Frideley takes a break from his work. Frideley has been an AP for the past three years and at PHS for six. He taught social studies and special education before becoming an assistant principal.
Assistant principal focuses career on student advocacy
In a collage of photos, senior Aarushi Rana showcases her highschool memories. Rana has been on the newspaper team for two years. "Journalism has my heart," Rana said. "I have made some of my best memories in this room."
