Designers express their commitment to creation process

As he pins a dress, senior Garret Gray prepares an entry for a design competition. Tiffany Sanchez leads the Fashion Design classes at PHS. “This is our first time FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) has competed in quite some time, if ever,” Sanchez said. “Next, state competition is April 11-13.” In this program, four students ended up advancing to state.

This past Friday, fashion design teachers Alexis Shaver and Tiffany Sanchez took seven design students to the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Region III Leadership Conference to compete and represent Prosper High School. Out of five entries, three designers will be advancing to the state competition April 11–13. This marks the first time in many years that Prosper ISD has had an active FCCLA chapter, and they made it clear – they came to compete.

"Me and Heather Davis have advisory together, therefore, while I was reading this book, I got to look over at her now and then, and ask, 'why do you like this book so much?'" said Greaves. "And she just looked back at me like I was a complete weirdo and, you know, that just made my day."
Podcast: The Story Guide – Ep. 3 'Five Survive'
With an influx of mass deportations and Australian wildfires, juniors Trisha Panicker and Aarushi Rana analyze how the toll of these events. "Controversy has been sparked by this issue (mass deportations) with as many as 18 states, including California, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, filing lawsuits claiming the order violates the U.S. Constitution," Panicker said. "The wait is until Feb. 6 to decide if this is permanent or not."

On his second episode of 'Drive' senior Will Ligon interviews seniors Regan Roberts and Ellie Christiansen. Both of them are on the Varsity Girls Soccer team. Christiansen serves as a team captain for the 24-25 season.

Freshman Polly Greaves created this updated version of the original graphic through Canva. Their next episode reviews a science fiction novel, 'Ender's Game.' "I feel like [Orson Scott Card] did a really good job incorporating feelings into his words and the plot," Greaves said, "which really made it a work of art because I believe that good books are books that can make you feel something."

Freshman navigates drill team, Hope Squad, academics

ENN Season 12 Episode 29
As senior Kendall Simms holds the girls golf team's first place district plaque, senior Sophia Duque, sophomore London Pearson, Principal Nick Jones, sophomore Tatum Churchman and junior Erica Lee come together. The team will compete at the Golf Regionals Tournament April 14-17. "It was a very intense day," golf coach Tyler Pearson said. "The girls handled the emotions and pressure unbelievably well."

Glove on hand, junior Avery Bunner warms up for the Prosper Softball game on Mar. 3 against Rock Hill High School. The Lady Eagles defeated the Blue Hawks 9-5. This game was Officials Appreciation Night at Prosper High School.

Gracie Patterson. This marks her 1st year in ENO as a sophomore. Along with the class, she hopes to collaborate with her classmates and work better by herself. Outside of school, she enjoys fashion and design. She likes to read and write and deeply wants to pursue photography/journalism once she gets to college. As she gets home and over the weekends, she likes to sleep, play video games, listen to music, and hang out with her brother, as well as go downtown with her mom and explore the different places of the world and the diversity of the people amongst her.
