Now that the second semester has been advancing, seniors are preparing for the next steps after graduation, as well as wrapping up their senior year. As graduation approaches, the senior page contains important dates and details regarding upcoming senior activities and meetings.
February
Firstly, seniors will have an upcoming senior snack break and senior lunch Thursday, Feb. 13. This privilege is given to seniors by the campus to award their hard work throughout the past four years of their high school career. Another important date all seniors should mark on their calendars is Feb. 25 at 11:30 a.m. Jostens will be delivering cap and gowns to all seniors in the Prosper High School gyms.
March
Moving on to March, seniors will kick off the month with a “Senior Bonfire” on March 7 from 7 – 11 p.m. The event will take place at the 3 R’s Ranch. More information about this event will be available soon. The following week, on March 14, there will be a senior lunch, and all seniors will be released at 1:33 p.m. for lunch. The next week leads into spring break, and that wraps up all senior activities currently scheduled for March.
Graduation celebration ticket price of $60 will increase March 14 at 11:59 p.m. The celebration will be on May 16 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. More information regarding the address and final details will come out closer to the date. No tickets will be sold after 11:55 p.m. on May 14.
April
Although there aren’t many activities in April for our seniors, there will be a senior lunch on April 11. By this time, most seniors should be wrapping up college decisions and future plans since the deadline to commit to a school is May 1 for a majority of 4-year-universities. Seniors need to purchase tickets for the Graduation Celebration before the deadline on May 14.
May
The last few weeks are filled with many activities for seniors, including prom, senior week, and graduation of course. The month starts off with senior lunch on Friday, May 2 and prom on Saturday, May 3 from 7 p.m.-10 p.m. (more information regarding prom will come out closer to the date). The Graduation Celebration will be on May 16 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Then senior week is from May 19 – 21 – seniors will be participating in various activities that will be announced soon. Finally, on May 22, Prosper High School’s graduating senior class will walk the stage at the Children’s Health Stadium at 7 p.m for the graduation ceremony.
