With Christmas decorations hanging over a street in Downtown McKinney, photographer Kate Duncan shops with her mom. McKinney adorns their town with festive apparel every December. "I love Downtown McKinney during the holidays," Duncan said. "The energy of the town is so nice. I love visiting with my mom during any time of the year."

Having just finished their balloon animals, new members of the balloon animal club excitedly leave, waiting for the next meeting. "It was a really fun time and I cant wait for the next one." Said junior Abby McGregor. "Isabella makes it a really great experience for everyone."
Inflated fun
Focused on students, Mayor David Bristol and Prosper ISD school board vice president Dena Dixon showcase their duties to the government classes. The students learned about the obstacles faced in the town council, and got more insight to Bristol's job. "The town facilities, the municipal services that we have, this is not normal," Bristol said. "People come to this area. In the last five years, a lot of you guys moved here for the school district, specifically.  Your parents brought you here so you can go to the ISD. That is not the same. There are not people clamoring to go to some of this districts to the south of us. So, we have something unique and special here, and I want to continue that."
Mayor encourages students to get involved in community
Playing a crucial role in the logistics of Civic Leaders of America, Texas Chief of Staff senior Mara Gonzalez Moral addresses the room with confidence. CLA is an entirely student-led organization with the mission of fostering civic engagement among high schoolers through regular debates, local conventions, information about current events, activism and volunteering opportunities. "Being a part of CLA has truly been the most rewarding activity of my high school years," Moral said. "I hope that if you join as well, you will find that you experience can be just as incredible."
Empowering future leaders
Waiting to check donators in, HOSA members work the blood drive they hosted before Thanksgiving break. The blood drive was located in Gym 1 and took place Nov. 21. "(The blood drive) allows people to donate blood for those who really need it, and so it's a really great thing that so many people come out and donate blood in order to help others," senior HOSA member Lily Lopez said. "It is really crucial for them."
HOSA fosters support in community
Rooted in the ground, students team up to plant the Prosper Moon Tree. The Moon Tree was planted on Nov. 15. "Building the tree from NASA is very inspiring," sophomore Brody Ham said. "It opens our minds to how life is."

In a choreographed fight scene, members of the Varsity Musical class playing workers lift senior Aiden Hansen into the air. Prosper Theatre put on "Hadestown: Teen Edition" six times, on Oct. 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, and 26.

Smiling for a photo in the crowd, junior Madelyn Rutledge and Amelia Easley received their respective award and class ring. The ring ceremony began at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. "Coach Easley has encouraged my development in sports medicine alongside my academics," Madelyn Rutledge said. "She has motivated me to step out of my comfort zone and engage with people I do not know that well."

Just before eating lunch, PCIS 1 student senior Muhammed Njie listens to a speaker during the PCIS symposium at the National Toyota Headquarters. This year, Prosper High School offered PCIS 1 and PCIS 2 for returning seniors. The program is meant to help students improve their networking and interpersonal skills.

"Rebel forces, including the designated terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, now control significant areas."

Shaking hands, junior Khloe Roan celebrates her two Talonette teachers, Ashley Sharp and Colleen Hunt. Roan has been a Talonette for three years at Prosper. "I truly could not pick between these wonderful ladies no matter how hard I tried," Roan said. "They've done so much for me, whether it was helping me grow as a leader and eventually into a dance officer, being people to put down as references when I applied for a job or being some of the first people to cheer for me after getting the job."
Junior class ring ceremony celebrates educators
Standing together, Prosper paramedics and attendees engage in conversation before the meeting starts. These paramedics were invited to the meeting to receive the Life Saving Award as they played a vital role in saving Dr. Greg Bradley's life.
School board meeting celebrates staff
Arms up, senior Hannah Lee smiles at the camera. Lee is the only senior on the girls varsity team. "The best part about the season was being able to have successful games," Lee said. "And have a memorable senior year."
Swimming with success: Varsity water polo teams end season with celebration
With his hands holding the ball above his head, junior J'Den Shields prepares to shoot a free throw. On Dec. 10, Max Preps ranked the boys varsity basketball team as No. 13 in Texas and No. 4 in the region. Head Coach Scott Imes leads the boys varsity team along with assistant coaches Ryan Lamberson, Gabe Owens, and Matthew Alford.
Prosper Varsity 'sweeps' crosstown rivals
Hooked up to the machine that collects your blood, senior Nicole Rendon waits as her blood is drawn. The blood drive was hosted by HOSA where they partnered with Carter Blood Care. “Honestly, I’ve never (donated blood) before, and I wanted to try it, and plus you get a chord too if you donate twice,” Rendon said. “I was nervous at first, but honestly it wasn’t that bad.”

Hands clapping, senior Branson Reeves gets the crowd loud. Prosper is currently ranked 21st in the state. "My goal for the rest of the season is to get at least one more touchdown," Reeves said. "I also want us to get through the playoffs at least through the third round."

Senior Sofia Ayala leads Eagle Nation Online as Editor-in-Chief. This is her fourth year working for Eagle Nation Online. She served as Assistant Editor for Eagle Nation Times and served as the Feature Editor in the past. Sofia is part of the varsity PHS Talonettes drill team where she enjoys dancing with her team. Outside of school, she loves going out on runs, reading, and listening to music.

Her passion for creativity led her to join the team, where she is excited to be able to bring new stories to light. This is her first year working on Eagle Nation Online as a reporter.
