        One foot in front of the other, senior Erin Young stays ahead of the race. This year marks her fourth year with the cross country and track program. 
“What I enjoy most about running cross country is the thing that I love most – the people, the people make it the best, like just having your friends alongside you. Even for those hard moments and those hard runs, they help you push through,” Young said. “Even when you're like thinking, oh my gosh, this sucks. This is hard, they're going through the same thing with you. And it just makes a close knit environment. Everyone is so happy all the time. So like, cross country is a really nice and, super sweet environment.”

        Jones Middle School welcomed 1,000 new students at the beginning of this school year. The middle school has a capacity of 1,500 students. Four new schools (elementary, middle, and high school) will be opened in August of 2025.

        Releasing his hand from his bow, sophomore Zain Jehangiri fires his last arrow at practice before competing at the Texas Archery State Tournament. This marks Zain's fourth year competing with the Prosper Archery Team. "I continue to do archery because it feels so rewarding," Jehangiri said. "When you see your high score after a tournament, it feels like everything has finally paid off."

"We lost a little ground on the back nine," Ryan Salinas said, "but we played the last five holes very, very solid and could not be more proud of the boys and of our competitiveness."

        As senior Kendall Simms holds the girls golf team's first place district plaque, senior Sophia Duque, sophomore London Pearson, Principal Nick Jones, sophomore Tatum Churchman and junior Erica Lee come together. The team will compete at the Golf Regionals Tournament April 14-17. "It was a very intense day," golf coach Tyler Pearson said. "The girls handled the emotions and pressure unbelievably well."

        Posing, senior, designer and model Jade Hotard showcases one of her designs as she walks down the runway. At the fashion show, designers were able to create three pieces that matched the theme of fantasy. “It's based off of the Black Swan from the ballet Swan Lake,” Hotard said. “It came to me in a dream, and I was like, I need to make this dress.”

She's been dancing for 12 years. “Ballroom is its own category of the way you're disciplined to train, and the intensity levels are so much different because now that I feel like I joined this drill team and I'm comparing it to what I do now,” Mishuris said. “There's a huge difference in techniques, discipline, and intensity.”
