  • A UIL CX district meet for debate will take place Jan. 26.
  • Friday, Jan. 27 is the last day to purchase a yearbook. Please contact Mrs. Hamlin if you have any questions.
  • PEF scholarships are due Feb. 1.
  • Course selections are officially open.
  • Cheer tryouts will be held Feb. 27 – March 3. The mandatory informational meeting will be held Feb. 2 at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.

In front of a sold out crowd of fans, lead singer Charlee Grider of Milwaukee punk band “Scam Likely” throws candy to the audience. The band played at The Back Room at Colectivo in Milwaukee, WI for their first studio album release show. The album “Getting Worse” was released Jan. 20 and is out on all platforms. Breaking News

School board president Drew Wilborn has submitted his resignation from the Prosper ISD Board of Trustees (Place 7,) effective immediately. The board will conduct a special meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 6 p.m. to determine the best course of action regarding the replacement of the vacated position. The agenda for the board meeting will be posted on the Prosper ISD website no later than Friday, Jan. 27 at 5 p.m. According to the school board, the board was not made aware of Wilborn’s allegations until Wednesday afternoon, January 25, 2023, after he was arrested.

Uplifting

The Prosper Swim/Dive team varsity athletes delivered outstanding performances at the District 5-6A championship meet this week, with the boys team winning district championship and the girls team as district runner-ups. There were eight individual district champions, four new PHS records, and multiple regional qualifiers.

The Prosper esports team won semi-nationals last week and will be competing in nationals soon.

Please congratulate the PHS DECA members for qualifying for state along with the newly elected president of District 7, Yuktha Pemmasani.
