The Student Voice of Prosper High School

Cate Emma Warren

Currently in the Varsity Elite Acting class, this is freshman Addyson Smith’s first year in Prosper Theatre. She traveled to the Texas Thespians Festival over Thanksgiving break and advanced to Nationals with her group in the Group Acting event. Smith also performed in the UIL One Act Play ‘Cagebirds’ at Rushing Middle School last year.

Addyson Smith – Yvette

Is this your first production with the department?

This is my first production, I’m really excited to see the outcome. I’m glad this is my first production and I’m glad I had this great cast for my first experience.

How do you feel about the upcoming show?

I’m a little nervous for my first production, but I’m looking forward to it.

Can you describe your character?

My character, Yvette is a French maid in her mid twenties. She works at the Boddy Manor, and has for the past few years. Her and Ms. White have a little bit of history….and not the good kind.

What are the types of things that you have been working on in rehearsals?

We have been working on lighting cues, transitions, costuming, lines, full run throughs, creating more character depth and understanding yourself as your character.

What is something you are looking forward to when the show opens?

I’m looking forward to telling people to come see me as Yvette in Clue, and looking forward to hearing the audiences laughs.

Why should people come see this show?

People should come see this show if they want to get a good laugh, and have a fun journey through the incidents at Boddy manor.
