Senior night win against McKinney leads team into playoffs

On Thursday, Nov. 3, the Prosper Eagles faced the McKinney Lions at home as the last regular season game, which was also senior night for the Eagles. The Eagles ended up taking the win 47-27.

The Eagles, led by head coach Brandon Schmidt, are going to face the Plano Wildcats in the first bi-district round of the playoffs Friday, Nov. 11 at Children’s Health Stadium at 7 p.m. The Eagles are heading into the game with a 9-1 record, while the Wildcats are heading in with a 4-6 record.

Coming off a six-game win streak, the Eagles have high momentum, ready and prepared to face the Wildcats. The Eagles are ranked fifth in Texas, while the Wildcats are ranked 257, according to MaxPreps.

The Eagles are coming into the game, strong on both sides of the ball, including senior Trevor Montanye who averages 55.3 rushing yards per game. Also on the offensive side, Harrison Rosar has an average of 240.6 yards per game.

On the defense, senior linebacker Ethan Higgins averages 7.6 tackles per game, including sacks throughout the season.

Overall, the Eagles have been preparing in practice, ready to face the Wildcats and hopefully clinch the bi-district champion title.
