Rachel Jackson
Gavroche
Is this your first production with the department?
I have done quite a few shows with the department. Last year, I was in ‘The Crucible’ and ‘The Lion King Jr.,’ and it was a great experience. I love working with the entire cast to put on a great show.
How do you feel about the upcoming show?
I’m really excited. I can’t wait for audiences to see the hard work we’ve been putting in for the past few months. I’m really proud of the show.
Can you describe your character?
Gavroche is a homeless kid living on the streets of Paris. He’s had a rocky life so far, but he doesn’t let it get to him.
What are the types of things that you have been working on in rehearsals?
We’ve worked on a lot of choreography and blocking, and learning all of the difficult songs.
What is something you are looking forward to when the show opens?
Performing for everyone.
Why should people come see this show?
The music is amazing, and we have some really talented singers. There are some unforgettable moments that I wouldn’t want to miss.
