Track, cross country finishes 5-6A District Championship with 621 points between all teams
On Tuesday, April 12 and Wednesday, April 13, all Prosper track and cross country teams competed in the District 5-6A Championship at the Little Elm Athletic Complex. Tuesday consisted of preliminary running rounds, shot put, high jump and triple jump. Wednesday consisted of the final running rounds, discus, pole vault and long jump.
Prosper finished second overall in girls’ and boys’ varsity and first in girls’ and boys’ junior varsity, with a total of 621 points between the four teams.
Top finishers and people who placed high will advance to the regional meet, where they will compete against people from schools outside of the district.
