Prosper picked up where they left off Friday as they defeated Carrollton R.L. Turner Tuesday night, 72-41. Zach Wrightsil (14 points), Taveion White (14 points) and Kyle Jessen (12 points) led the way for the Eagles by finishing in double figures in points. The win marks two straight victories for Prosper after their crushing loss against Little Elm last Tuesday.

With three players stepping up big-time due to Josh Davis’ off night (6 points), the Eagles maintained their close race with Little Elm for the district crown. Unfortunately for Prosper, Little Elm kept their undefeated district record in tact Tuesday with a 76-64 victory against Carrollton Newman Smith. The best scenario the Eagles can hope for is the Lobos to lose at least one more game before they are set to face Prosper on Feb. 9th. If Prosper keeps winning games, anything is possible.

Another team that is also in the race for the district title is The Colony. The Colony stands in third place in the district with a 6-2 record. Prosper will face the Cougars Tuesday in a very important game for both squads.

Prior to Tuesday’s game against The Colony, Prosper will face McKinney North Friday in the Eagles Nest. McKinney North will come into Friday winning their last two games against Carrollton Creekview and Lake Dallas. Players like Maliek Perry and Brandon Frazier could possibly give the Eagles some problems, however there shouldn’t be too much to worry about other than that. Tip-off is set for 7:30 at home as Prosper will look for their third straight victory.
