Prosper bullied their way to the district title Friday with a 49-7 victory over Lake Dallas. From the very start, Prosper was determined to make the night a memorable one. With Kaleb Adams, Keegan Shoemaker, and the defense having impressive nights, the victory seemed to come easy for Prosper.

Kaleb Adams racked up 154 yards on 17 carries, while also adding 2 touchdowns Friday night. His performance finishes him with 1210 yards and 22 touchdowns in the regular season. If Adams continues his superb running through the playoffs, we could be looking at an extended postseason run for the Eagles.

Keegan Shoemaker’s impressive night was also a major key to Prosper obtaining the victory Friday. Shoemaker exploded for 3 touchdowns, while also tallying 182 yards passing. 2 of his touchdowns were courtesy of junior safety/wide receiver Devin Haskins. Haskins also had 2 touchdowns a few weeks ago against Carrollton Newman Smith. However, those came off of 2 interceptions that were taken to the house. Haskins is the definition of a player that gets the job done on both sides of the ball.

The Prosper defense has been beyond impressive throughout the entire season, and Friday was no different. In addition to holding Lake Dallas to just 7 points, the Eagles were also able to force 2 fumbles. The defense and the run game seem to be the most consistant, and overall best part of the football team.

The Prosper Eagles are district 14-5A champions. The dominant rushing of Kaleb Adams, and the scary-good defense have led the Eagles to this point. From here, the playoffs begin. If Prosper can execute like they did Friday night, they can find themselves deep in the playoffs. The Prosper Eagles will begin this playoff journey Thursday night against a familiar foe, Frisco Wakeland. The game is at Allen Eagle stadium, and will begin at approximately 7 PM. Come out and support the Eagles in hopefully the beginning of their long playoff run.
