Eagle Brief: Jan. 11-15
Standing beside their entries, members of the Prosper FFA chapter show off their winnings. FFA members competed on Friday, Jan. 8, at the Collin County Livestock Show in both floral arrangement competitions and plant growing competitions. Several students took home ribbons, including junior Brooke Black who in addition to winning first place in the symmetrical silk arrangement competition, also won reserve champion of the entire show.

Eagle Update
- To keep track of the number of PISD COVID-19 cases, the dashboard explains the total number of students and faculty and the number of COVID-19 cases in the district.

- Due to construction, Prosper Trail is closed in several places including east of Escalante Trail and the southbound entrance of Escalante Trail. The district has recommended traffic cut through Whitley Place off of Custer Road or through the north entrance of Gateway Church.
- A blood drive in honor of senior Lexie Bell will be held at the Prosper Walmart Supercenter Feb. 27. Scan the QR code on the flyer to sign up.

- Boys basketball plays McKinney Boyd away Jan. 12.

- The swim and dive teams will compete at the PISD Natatorium Jan. 13.
- Girls soccer will play Lake Travis Jan. 14.
- The boys soccer team plays Richardson Pierce at Keller Central High Jan. 14.
- Girls soccer plays Vandegrift at the PISD Children’s Health Stadium Jan. 15.
- Boys basketball will play Little Elm away Jan. 15.
- The archery team will compete at the PISD Admin building Jan. 15.
- Girls basketball plays Little Elm at the PHS Arena Jan. 16.
- The boys soccer team will play Lewisville away Jan. 16.
- Next week, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day Jan. 18, Monday will be a district holiday with no school for teachers and students.
- Stuff the bus is coming up from Feb. 8-11.
