After his 4 touchdown showing last week against R.L. Turner, Kaleb Adams put up 5 more touchdowns in Prosper’s defeat of McKinney North Friday. The senior running back finished with a total of 226 yards on a heavy workload of 30 carries.

Adams started the night with a 40-yard touchdown, which gave Prosper an early 8-0 lead. He also ended the first quarter with a 31-yard touchdown run to put the Eagles ahead 15-10 after one quarter of play. In the second quarter, he added two more rushing touchdowns of 1 and 25 yards. Adams already had 4 touchdowns to his name at halftime. The fifth and final touchdown from Adams came with 3:20 left to go in the third quarter. The 5 scores are his season high, and brings his total to 18 TD in 2017. The 18 touchdowns have already made an improvement on Adams’ 11 TD in 2016.

The team was mostly carried by Kaleb Adams, however strong defense began to show after the 1st quarter. Although they didn’t force any turnovers, the defense failed to allow any points in the second half. Prosper got the job done once again on the defensive side of the ball, even though the performance wasn’t flashy with interceptions or fumbles.

The defensive unit stands tall during a game against R.L. Turner on October 13th, 2017.

Matt Bramer was handed the start at quarterback Friday night, and he didn’t disappoint. The senior completed 60% of his passes, while tallying 148 yards in the air. Don’t be surprised if Bramer is the starting quarterback once again next week against The Colony.

To wrap things up, Kaleb Adams absolutely torched the McKinney North Bulldogs’ defense. Prosper was dominant in all aspects of the game. The Eagles are also playing their best football right now, as they have won 5 games in a row. Prosper has outscored their opponents a demanding 227 to 48 in that time span. However with Little Elm at 6-1 (only loss to Prosper) and right behind them in the district, the Eagles need to make sure they remain focused down the stretch. Prosper is set to play The Colony at home Friday night, in addition Carrolton Creekview and Lake Dallas for the final two games of the season.
