Eagle Brief: Nov. 30-Dec. 4

As her ceramics class learns to fire Raku clay, junior Paige Schultz watches the kiln fire up. The process of Raku firing requires the specific clay to be heated at 1,830 degrees Fahrenheit. “It was so interesting to fire this clay,” Schultz said. “It’s cool to watch it being fired because with normal clay that goes into the kiln, you don’t see it happening.”
