What to expect from the Blackout Pep Rally

This year’s blackout pep rally is expected to be similar to last year’s.

“I know two years ago we had the big extreme stuff,” Julie Brantley, head cheerleading coach, said. “Blackout is just going to be standard blackout. There’s not a lot of ways to change a blackout pep rally other than it’s still in the dark.”

The administration aims to bring in more activities into the pep rally.

“We are trying to bring in some more student lead activities which is kind of cool,” Brantley said. “We are gonna have another game which is gonna be kind of fun.”

There will also be a few more special activities performed by some of the students.

“We have a special little panda portion doing his little dancing,” Brantley said. ” We have some new gentleman that are going to be MCing part of it as well. This time the color guard is going to be performing, of course you know our trombone suicides you got to keep those out there.”

However, this year’s blackout pep rally is still expected to be memorable.

“Everybody get’s their necklaces just like before in year’s past,” Brantley said.”But you black out is always unique and different.”
