Eagle Brief: Sept. 21-25
Junior varsity and varsity football teams run into the MPF to finish practice indoors. The teams walked through their plays out on the field for their games on Thursday and Friday. Both teams have practiced to play their first game of the season against Prestonwood Christian Academy.

Eagle Update
- In Week 4 of National Preparedness Month, the theme is to prepare youth for disasters. This will include mental support, relocation strategies and communication plans
- PISD students and faculty should answer the daily COVID-19 screening questions before attending in-person
- In preparation for October’s homecoming, students can order their mums and garters and support the tennis team through the Mum Shop
- To keep track of the number of PISD COVID-19 cases, the dashboard explains the total number of students and faculty and the number of COVID-19 cases in the district
- Weather experts suggest that today will have a high of 82 degrees and a low of 63 degrees. The sky is predicted to remain clear and sunny all day
- Principal Dr. John Burdett released his newsletter Sept. 20
Upcoming
- Football game tickets went on sale for current students Monday, at 12:30 p.m. The general public can purchase them on Wednesday at 7 a.m.
- The first varsity football game of the season will kick off against Prestonwood at the Children’s Health Stadium Sept. 25
- The first pep rally of the year is USA-themed. Freshmen and seniors will attend the arena in-person, and the rest of the school will tune into a live stream at the end of the school day Sept. 25. Click here for the bell schedule link
- The google classroom code for the Junior World Affairs Council meeting is “lpmwshp.” The first meeting will be virtual Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 4 p.m.
- The first “Coffee with the Counselors and Principal” virtual meeting Sept. 24
- The deadline to order class of 2022 rings is Sept. 30
