1. What did you do before Prosper and/or teaching?
“Before I came here I was actually working at State Farm as an occupational health nurse, but I’m a nurse by trade.”
2. What’s the craziest thing that has happened while teaching or in your past career?
“I’ve delivered a baby by myself when the doctor was not in the room.”
3. Favorite part about teaching?
“The students. When you get something right or when you get a concept and understand it I like the looks on your faces.”
4. Goal for yourself and your students this year?
“My goal for myself is to become comfortable in what I’m doing so that by the end of the year. Learning the nuances of teaching and time management with classes. My goal for my students at the end of the year is to know enough medical terminology so that if they choose to either go to the CNA class or the EMT they’ll have a good understanding, or if they choose to go out into the medical profession they’re going to have a leg up because they know these words.”
