Tennis team heads into district, looks to play Plano

In the attached slideshow, photojournalists Brian Bock and Christi Norris highlight the play of the varsity tennis team, led by head coach Mandy Weaver and assistant coach Hollie Cunningham. The matches featured in these photos took place Sept. 24 and Sept. 27 against Allen and Plano Senior High School. “We succeeded in beating Plano Senior because we worked together as a team,” junior Aiden Brooks said. Prosper takes on Plano Senior again during the first round of district play Thursday, Oct. 3 at 4:45 p.m. in Prosper.

Caroline Wilburn, Sports Editor

Caroline Wilburn, a senior, has lived in Prosper, Texas, since 2010. This is her second year on staff, and she holds the position of sports editor this year. In addition, she serves on the editorial board for Eagle Nation Online. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with friends, family and her dogs. She also plays for the varsity tennis team and looks forward to combining her love for sports and journalism together.

Brian Bock, Reporter and Photographer

Brian Bock was born in Arizona, but raised in Kansas, and now is doing his thing as a skateboarding, picture and video taking, love spreading dude in Prosper, Texas. Brian is a reporter and photographer for Eagle Nation Online and hopes to help the staff publish excellent articles and photography the high school of Prosper deserves for its great people, great environment and great curriculum. If you ever see him feel free to go up to him and talk to him, he loves meeting new people and going on new adventures.

Christi Norris, Chief Operating Officer and Editor of Multimedia

Christi Norris was born in Colorado, but for most of her life, she's called Seattle, Washington, home. She moved to Prosper in the summer of 2019 and has loved it ever since. Christi is a senior who is passionate about photography, podcasting and writing. She is excited to fill the role of Chief Operating Officer and Editor of Multimedia for the 2021-2022 school year and can't wait to help other journalists grow and achieve their goals. In her spare time, you can often find her working at a plant shop, reading books or watching movies. Christi will be attending Brigham Young University this summer and majoring in communications.
