Junior Hayden Metcalf and several Eagles race on to regionals

In addition to advancing several varsity track athletes to compete in the regional meet at Midway High School in Waco, Texas, this weekend April 26-27, according to coach Coby Richards, this season some records took their place in the retired column of the books, thanks to the efforts of two triple jumpers and a pole vault competitor.

“If you see Coach Leslie Powell in the Hallways, please congratulate her as she coached two athletes (Hayden Metcalf and Kennedy Adams) to new school records in the triple jump,” Richards said in an email to faculty. “Please congratulate coach Jackie Crisp for his coaching Remy (Guertel) to (a) 12′ 6″ pole vault school record.
