Eagle Brief: Nov. 20-30

Greeting students that enter the Nest, the annual Hope Squad pumpkin shows off student signatures. The pumpkin is used for students to express what they are grateful for this year. Thanksgiving break will start Nov. 23, and school will return Nov. 30.

Eagle Update

Eagle Nation Online will return to daily publishing after Thanksgiving break Nov. 30.
To keep track of the number of PISD COVID-19 cases, the dashboard explains the total number of students and faculty and the number of COVID-19 cases in the district.
To take precaution against COVID-19, the district recommends to follow these Children’s Health tips.

Upcoming

Boys basketball will play Frisco Wakeland at home Nov. 23.
Girls basketball will face Frisco Liberty at the Frisco Liberty arena Nov. 23.
Cross country runner Aubrey O’Connell will race in the state championship Nov. 24.
Girls basketball plays at home against The Colony Nov. 24.
Thanksgiving day is Nov. 26.
Black Friday will start Nov. 27.
Varsity football will play Allen away Nov. 27.
The district is on Thanksgiving break, and students will return to school Nov. 30.

Grace Williamson, Editor-in-Chief

Grace Williamson is the 2020-2021 Editor-in-Chief of Eagle Nation Online. This is her third year on the school newspaper, and she was previously the 2019-2020 sports editor. She plans to strengthen the newspaper as a team, and help promote brilliant reporting and coverage this year. Following graduation, she plans to major in criminal justice at a currently undecided college. When she is not working in the newsroom at school, you can probably find her spending time with her dog, Newt. Christi Norris, Chief Operating Officer and Editor of Multimedia

Christi Norris was born in Colorado, but for most of her life, she's called Seattle, Washington, home. She moved to Prosper in the summer of 2019 and has loved it ever since. Christi is a senior who is passionate about photography, podcasting and writing. She is excited to fill the role of Chief Operating Officer and Editor of Multimedia for the 2021-2022 school year and can't wait to help other journalists grow and achieve their goals. In her spare time, you can often find her working at a plant shop, reading books or watching movies. Christi will be attending Brigham Young University this summer and majoring in communications.
