With a lead of 38 shots, the girls golf team won the UIL District 6-6A Tournament Wednesday, March 26, breaking the school record by shooting 615 across the two days of the tournament.
This is the third year in a row that Prosper has won the 6A District Tournament.
Sophomore Tatum Churchman won the individual title by shooting 69 on the second day of the tournament.

According to golf coach Tyler Pearson, the varsity girls finished with the following results:
- Sophomore Tatum Churchman shot 75 and 69, taking 1st.
- Senior Kendall Simms shot 77 and 75 , taking 4th.
- Junior Erica Lee shot 75 and 77, taking 4th.
- Sophomore London Pearson shot 83 and 84, taking 13th.
- Senior Sophia Duque shot 105 and 101, taking 52nd.
“It was a very intense day,” Pearson said. “The girls handled the emotions and pressure unbelievably well.”
The team will compete at the Golf Regionals Tournament April 14-17.
