Eagle Brief Oct. 31 — Nov. 6

The PHS Eagle Production Group went to New York City for the All American High School Film Festival this last week and returned to Prosper with multiple awards and nominations. The festival is the largest high school film festival in the world, with thousands of entries and competitors from over 40 countries. The students attended the awards show in the historic King’s Theater in Brooklyn.

Upcoming

  • Registration for AP exams are due Nov. 2.
  • Students in Prosper Research and Engineering will conduct experimentation and thorough research in an area of interest. There will be an introductory meeting held Nov. 3 in room 2245 in Mrs. Sickels’ room, as well as meetings beforehand on Oct. 21 and Oct. 28 before and after school.
  • Junior World Affairs Council will be holding meetings in the LGI Oct. 28, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.
  • The Creative Writing club will be holding a meeting Oct. 31 in room 1247.
  • The Engineering Science classes will be competing in an alternative fuel race in the main hallway from the Arena to the Auditorium and back during 1st, 2nd and 4th period Nov. 4. The cars must be solar, fuel cells, or similar — conventional batteries are not permitted.
  • This year’s Thanksgiving Break will be held Nov. 21 — 25.
