Band members stand together on the sidelines. ENO web site coordinator Alex Drum stands in the center of his percussion team, which he listed among the people he is most grateful for in the attached column. “First off, I’m thankful for my band. They are some of the best people on earth. In 60 seconds, I can go from sad to happy – just by being around them. “

After a couple of months here at Eagle Nation Online, I have had a different perspective on life – and on gratitude. Across this week, you, our dedicated readers, have been learning about what we here at ENO are grateful for. But, before one final gratitude article publishes, I want to take a step back and ask a question: What are you grateful for? Let me know in the comments below. Everyone is grateful for something. Take a few minutes out of your day and share what you are grateful for. Name names. Your thoughts could make someone’s day.

So, what am I grateful for? To be honest, there’s a lot – but I’ll make this quick.

First off, I’m thankful for my band. They are some of the best people on earth. In 60 seconds, I can go from sad to happy – just by being around them.

Second off, I am thankful for my team here at ENO. They can write infinitely better than I can, and take pictures, and do just about everything journalism better than me. Thanks, guys.

I’m tired of using transition words, but I am extremely grateful for my family. They help me out in ways that I could never believe, and they truly make my day better.

Next up, I have a couple of specifics – certain people who have made a massive impact on my life. To my dev team, you all rock! Seriously, spending hundreds of hours on Discord with you all is just the best. We can still develop and have fun, and I really am grateful for them being here and for making my time in development better. Heath, Luke and Justin, you three are the party when I need it. I am so grateful for everything that they have done for me, and I always will be.

Even though I know he won’t see it, I will still include him in this. Joe, even from Connecticut, you can be the best friend in the world. Stay strong, and never change.

Finally, to my girlfriend, Edie, thank you for being here – no matter what. Even if everything is going wrong, you are there. The love and care that she puts into my life is the thing I am the most grateful for. I really can’t wait to see what the future holds, and what we can do as a team.

All in all, I really believe that everyone is the best if they are brought to where they need to be. The very last dedication I have to make is to you, our readers. You all have taken this newspaper to new heights. Thank you all so much for reading – and enjoying – our articles. Every. Single. Day. Our team here at ENO is immensely thankful for everything you all have done for this newspaper.

Thank you, and Happy Thanksgiving!
