One in a series of golf baskets sits lined up along the high school golf range. The golf team competed at the Frisco Lakes Golf Club Sept. 21. "I don't think we played the way that we would have liked in the first tournament," head golf coach Ryan Salinas said. "It just showed that we can compete with the best competition in the state this year even when we don't have our best."

Here’s a highlight quote from head coach Ryan Salinas:
“We were really excited to be back on the course this year,” Sharp said.  “We had a great summer this year and we were excited to get back at it, and I don’t think we played the way that we would have liked the first tournament out of the gate.  But, it just showed that we can compete with the best competition in the state this year even when we don’t have our best.  We have a great schedule this year to go out and prove to ourselves that we can and we will be ready by the spring district tournament. The varsity girls started their season last week with a 333 and 5th place finish. Senior Haili Moore shot 75 and finished 5th. The other players shot 86. ”
