1.What did you do before Prosper and/or teaching?

“Before Prosper I was in Connecticut. I was teaching in Hartford. I was there for seven years teaching theatre and choir to middle schoolers in a charter school. Before that I had two more years of teaching music at a K-8 school.”

2. What’s the craziest thing that has happened while teaching or in your past career?

“Nothing too crazy just yet luckily. I’ve had some kids ask some random questions that are a little awkward and or personal. It takes some discretion to decide whether to answer them or not.”

3. Favorite part about teaching?

“Honestly we are in the middle of it (the theatre workshop) right now. We have a half dozen students that just showed up during eagle time because they want to do extra work in the workshop and that’s amazing.”

4. Goal for yourself and your students this year?

“I want to first of all clean up this shop. Make it organized and neat because an organized and clean shop is a safe shop. I also want to make sure that I’m adding rigor to our technical theatre program. We have a lot of students in like level two and three courses who came in expecting kind of an easy blowoff call to be frank and I’m not about that life.”
