1. What did you do before Prosper and/or teaching?

“I was teaching in Colorado for five years at a brand-new health science program for the area. Before that, I worked 30 years in the medical field as a respiratory therapist. I was on air-life, trauma, pulmonary rehab, ICU, CCU, NICU.”

2. What’s the craziest thing that has happened while teaching or in your past career?

“I was working in Denver on a 13-year-old in the ER – who had been beaten by a gang. A rival gang came in, got into the ER, and tried to finish off the kid and shot a couple of shots into the room.”

3. Favorite part about teaching?

“Exciting kids about entering the medical field because I loved it and to see them start asking questions.”

4. Goal for yourself and your students this year?

“For my students, to get them to have the desire, if they feel that this is what touches their heart, to go further into the medical field and come back for more. For me, it is to get all the way looped here from Colorado.”
