Celebrating, sophomore Nicole Steel and freshman Matteo Mejia prepare for the state championship. Both of them have been on the varsity team since their freshman year. This is the first time a PHS tennis team has gone to state in seven years.

As he looks toward the field, baseball coach Scott Holder coaches his second period freshman baseball teams. Holder works with the varsity teams at the end of the school day. It starts at 6:45 a.m., and it really doesnt stop,” Holder said. On game days, its even longer. Were out playing until probably 9:00 p.m. or 9:30 p.m., and get back at 10:30 p.m or 11:00 p.m.

Arms stretched out, the Prosper Talonettes stand in formation in preparation of the game. The eagles won 53-14, scoring a minimum of 1 touchdown per quarter. Playing their first home game against Rockwall, the team will face off today at 7:00 p.m. at Childrens Health Stadium.
