At Fridays game, Prosper players carried 15 American flags onto the field. Two of these flags represented the world trade centers lost on September 11, 2001, and 13 represented the 13 U.S. servicemen recently killed in Afghanistan.

The morning after their first game against South Grand Prairie, Higgins joined several of his teammates in opening car doors at Rucker Elementary School. On defense, we had a great game today, defensive lineman Dylan Hinshaw said. We had a lot of stops. They couldnt run the ball on us. On offense we were just a beast, we kept moving and pushing forward. Its 63-7. Were going to go home happy.

Phone raised to take a selfie, junior Harrison Rosar crowd surfs after Meet the Eagles. Rosar holds the position of quarterback for the varsity football team and also plays varsity baseball. Im very excited for this season, Rosar said. We have a whole bunch of weapons in the offense, a whole bunch of guys to replace on the defense, but Im sure our guys will step up and fill those roles.
