School honors Red Ribbon Week, holds Black Out Pep Rally, football to play Allen

Upcoming
- Varsity girls tennis will play in the state tournament away Thursday and Friday, Oct. 28 and 29, at 8 a.m.
- Varsity volleyball will play in a warm-up match home Friday, Oct. 29.
- Varsity football will play Allen at home Friday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. This will also be senior night.
- A Black Out pep rally will occur Friday, Oct. 29, during Eagle Time in the arena.
- The fishing team will have a tournament at Ray Hubbord Lake Saturday, Oct. 30.
- National Technical Honor Society will hold a meeting Monday, Nov. 1. QR codes with more information can be found in CTE classrooms.
This week will be Red Ribbon Week with dress up days:
- Monday: wear pajamas, robes, and slippers
- Tuesday: wear tie-dye
- Wednesday: wear yellow
- Thursday: wear throwback attire
- Friday: wear Halloween costumes
Uplifting
Band left Thursday, Oct. 21 for their trip to St. Louis, where they will compete in the Bands of America Super Regional competition.
Seven Eagle Nation News graduates were nominated for six 2021 National Student Production Awards. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences — which is the company that presents the EMMY’s — made the announcement Monday, Oct. 18.

- Talent – News or Sports: “Grant Johnson Demo Reel” by Grant Johnson and “Maggie Hale Demo Reel” by Maggie Hale
Choir auditioned for All Region Choir and 24 students earned spots in the group. Eight students made the Region 24 Mixed Choir placing them in the top 15 voices in their voice parts. They will advance to the next round of competitions.
