Prosper will compete in the annual community challenge called It’s Time Texas. It started on Jan. 8 and ends on March 4. In which prosper competes in the small community category in order to win the title healthiest small community in texas.

It’s Time Texas is a nonprofit organization located in Austin.

“The challenge is a program created and managed entirely by IT’S TIME TEXAS. dedicated to making healthy easier where Texans live, learn, work, and worship.”

It’s Time Texas is funded from many different organizations.

“The Community Challenge is made possible by the generosity and support of H-E-B, along with our other Founding Allies, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, and SNAP-Ed.”         

It’s Time Texas community challenge works off a point system.

“There are a number of different ways to earn points for your community! To start, you must be a registered user, which will award your community 500 points! Once registered you can click Log Activity link to submit different activities to help your community compete for the crown!”

There are many ways to get points for our community and. It’s time Texas website list them out in five different categories.      

“We want all sectors of your community to come together to celebrate healthy living. As such, we’ve broken out the different ways communities can earn points into five main sectors: Individuals; School Representatives; Business and Organization Representatives; Faith-based Organizations; and Local City Officials.”

There will be a reward for the winning community.

“The winning community in each size category will receive an $1,800 community grant to put toward future health-related efforts, along with a trophy, school district banner, Governor’s certificate, web banner and badge, and 10 free registrations to our 2018 Summit event!”

The rewards for individuals are separated in 3 levels with a total of 92 prices.

“We would love to reward the hard work and commitment that goes into participating in the Challenge. Individuals will be entered into drawings to win prizes when they reach various point levels throughout the competition. These levels include 5,000 points, 12,000 points, and 20,000 points.”

The community looks win the challenge for a fourth time.
