Coated in ice, the pond at the front of the Star Trail neighborhood development in Prosper sits peacefully blanketed in snow. Last week, large sections of Texas were hit with a snowstorm that caused power outages and water issues. In Prosper, the entire school district was closed Feb. 11-19.

The Prosper Education Foundation will accept scholarship applications until Feb. 24.
The month of February is Black History Month. The History’s Forgotten podcast focuses on Jane Bolin and Black History Month in episode 5.
Seniors will pick up their cap and gowns today during lunch. Any cap and gowns not picked up will be delivered to students’ houses by May 1.
