The new Eagle Library Book Club will meet on October 24 during Eagle Time.

Librarians Mrs. Hutt and Ms. Weber didn’t initially start a book club because before and after school activities prevented interested students from attending, yet this year many students expected a club. So back by popular demand is a fresh original book club led by students who will create the culture of this club.

“Book clubs have been unsuccessful in the club because of all the activities that everyone is in,” Ms. Weber said.

The club is all the more legitimate because of this year’s new addition to the daily schedule, Eagle Time.

“Eagle Time is really gonna help us out,” Weber said.

Now students who have busy schedules will be able to read and share their favorite books with others who have similar interests.

Each month, the book club will read a new genre from a plethora of choices ranging from mystery to anime.

“Nobody has to read the same book,” Weber said. “We will come back and talk about all the different books and if you like that genre you’ll go, ‘Oh, now I have all these other books I can look at.’”

The book club is for anyone with a passion and a love for reading, but regardless the club is for “anyone who likes to read,” Weber said. “Everyone is welcome.”
