Eagle Brief: Oct. 26-29
With ribbons lining the hallway, the school honors Red Ribbon Week Oct. 26 through Oct. 29. Red Ribbon week was created to spread drug abuse awareness, and provide tools for prevention. Student council has created dress up days for this week to promote awareness.

Eagle Update
- To keep track of the number of PISD COVID-19 cases, the dashboard explains the total number of students and faculty and the number of COVID-19 cases in the district.
- To take precaution against COVID-19, the district recommends to follow these Children’s Health tips.

- The Talon Radio will air Halloween stories on their station for the month of October.
- A thanksgiving food drive event is accepting donations from Oct. 31 to Nov. 22. For more information, click here.
- The school board election day is Nov. 3 and early voting will end Oct. 30. For information on the election, click here.

Upcoming
- To campaign for drug-abuse prevention, Red Ribbon Week takes place Oct. 26 through Oct. 29.
- The blood drive will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 26.
- Volleyball will compete away against Guyer High School at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 27.
- The swim team will meet at the PISD Natatorium to compete against Memorial Oct. 28.
- Eagle Nation News will play on Oct. 28 at 10:21 a.m.
- The second pep rally will occur Oct. 29 in the arena. Sophomores and seniors will be released for the pep rally by the drumline starting at 3:17 p.m.
- There is no school for students Oct. 30, and teachers will have a professional learning day.
- The football team will play against Denton Guyer at the Children’s Health Stadium Oct. 30.
- Volleyball plays at the home arena against Allen High School Oct. 30.
- Cross country will run in their district competition at Myers Park Oct. 31.
